Scaling African Youth Engagement in Peace Building and Sustainable Development through Education / Entertainment by the Production and Publishing of Original Artistic African Audiovisual Content.
To inspire conversation and firm conviction against hate and the need for nonviolent means to conflict resolution in the minds of 1 million Cameroonian youth (aged 9 to 39) in or at risk of violent extremism through edutainment (education entertainment) with the use of creative audiovisual art.
To inspire a paradigm shift in the mind of 1 million Cameroonian youth from the opportunity-seeking mentality to an entrepreneurial mindset with the use of audiovisual art, as a means to reduce the risk of violent extremism

Developing Content to Enhance the Peace Building Process in Conflict Regions around Africa and fostering Sustainable Development through the introduction of innovation-based entrepreneurship.
This project will:
Reduce the rate of violent extremism in different conflict regions in Africa by 30%.
Reduce the risk of violent extremism amongst youth (9 to 39) by 40%.
Deliver Digital Databases for African Entrepreneurs who were once or were at risk of violent extremism.
Inspire 10,000,000 youth in Africa with an Entrepreneurial Mindset, thus corresponding youth engagement in entrepreneurship.
Inspire Discussions and ripples of thought throughout the continent inspiring secondary paradigm shifts on the subject.
An increase in the need-for-peace consciousness and corresponding change in overall behavior of an estimated 10,000,000 youth.
The project will deliver the following outputs:
Engaging 1 million African young people to varied forms of
Audiovisual Educating / Entertainment Content on Peace Building, Hate Speech, Social Cohesion and other Concepts.
12 Video Screening Events / On-Ground Inspirational Boot Camps per country, on Peace-building, Social Cohesion, Sustainable Development and Entrepreneurship.
1,000,000 Artistic Concerts (Spoken Word Art and others)
RATIONALE AND OBJECTIVES
The high rate of Violent Extremism and amongst young people owing to the
War Crisis currently plaguing the different Regions of Africa; and the corresponding devastating consequences on the society.
According to the statistics acquired from our need assessment, one of the Baseline Causes of youth violence is poverty and unemployment as well as lack of appropriate education
STEP 1 – CONTENT DEVELOPMENT
Different topics for content are decided on and the content is developed.
Capacity Building of Creative Team on selected concepts.
Scripting Audios, Storyboarding Videos, writing of songs, drawing of animations and designing of production roadmap is done here.

To inspire a mind change in 10 million Africans with animated visual
content on the devastating potentiality of hate, violence and related concepts, as well as inspiration for entrepreneurship.
Engage 10 million people in Africans on-ground and 100 million online in peace building and job creation in 12 artistic events per country: Spoken Word Concerts, Art Exhibitions and Video Screenings
Inspiring a mind change in 10 million through the production
and publishing of Audiovisual Art Content: Spoken Word Videos,
Documentaries, Movies, Musical Clips and others
Inspiring 10,000,000 Africans towards peace and Social Cohesion with the use of Artistic Publications

Strawacademy will utilize the aforementioned 5-Stage Process over the
period of one year: 14 Positions and partnerships at 3 strategic levels are needed to execute these 4 phases in both locations:

We will also need partnerships at:
Production Level – With an Organization whose staff have great knowledge and experience on different peace building concepts; for Capacity Building of our Writing and Creative Team
Publishing Level – With established Media houses, Social Media Companies like Facebook and Twitter, and credible ecosystems for the propagation of our content to reach people
Community Engagement – With Educational Institutions and other gatherings for on-ground engagement.
An innovative approach on monitoring and evaluation are used on our Digital Enterprise Resource System where tasks are created and assigned to staff and evaluated. Funders may have access to this platform to view first hand on a daily basis the progress of this project within each location.
Since 2016, Strawacademy Africa, through its initiative, Inspire Me, has produced 230 Audios / 120 Videos on motivation and entrepreneurship. We are a structured Organization have qualified full-time staff of 8 and head office in Buea – Cameroon.

Since the last quarter of 2018, there has been the withdrawal of 230 known young people from violent extremism into entrepreneurship and job creation.
Project Timeline, however, is 2 years
From January 2020 to December 2021
Our team seeks networks from where we could source Technical Partnerships to improve the quality of operations and project deliverable to scale quality of outputs.

vi. Funds to Sponsor On-ground Community Engagement
The estimated costs to meet the above gaps amount to $500,000.
Both Enterprise Support Organizations are currently self-funded through the income-generating activities. Strengthened income generating support services will continue to provide funds after this project.
The model of the rotating no-interest loan scheme will permit other
entrepreneurs to benefit initial stage financing. In our model, we retain a
percentage of the YLSE under incubation as collateral. YLSE gain independence and leave the hubs with the assets they acquire after they have finished repaying the loan.
Only Environment-friendly, Non-Political and Socially-inclusive YSLE will be incubated.
