Pain Gain Live Performance – Mac Alunge (Spoken Word)

Africa has some of the fastest growing economies in the world and it is the richest continent in terms of natural resources. Also becoming the fastest growing continent in the world with over 2 billiion people, Africa will have the world’s youngest population with the largest workforce by 2050. Thanks to sustainable agriculture, hunger has dropped by almost half in the past 20years. However, an estimated 75% of African youths are either unemployed or underemployed leaving more than 800 million people in the world live in extreme poverty most of whom are Africans.

Today, job growth is not keeping pace with the growing Labour force.
More than 3 billion people depend on marine and coastal diversity for their livelihoods but today we are seeing nearly a third of the world’s fish stocks over-exploited. We can promote policies that encourage entrepreneurship and job creation. Rather than dependence on the government for jobs, favourable government policies encourage job creation amongst youths.
Bridging the digital divide, promoting sustainable industries, and investing in scientific research and innovation are all important ways to facilitate sustainable development. Recycling of energy for bio-gas in homes and promoting sustainable agriculture for long term food supply. Also, it is essential to adequately use the internet for improved research and development.

In the ‘pain gain’ slam, he acknowledges that before gain there is pain and throughout the slam, he educates on how to manage the pain that comes before any gain. The Sustainable Development Goal 4 encourages quality education at all levels.
Also, through his Spoken Word, people are provoked to be able to join the race of change by being creative. People no longer wait on government or some organization to offer them employment. They are able to create what they love and believe in.

He encourages entrepreneurship and job creation as a way of creating employment to the decreasing middle class. Strawacademy fosters Sustainable Development Goal number 8 on inclusive and sustainable economic growth.

  • Long time supporter, and thought I’d drop a comment.

Your wordpress site is very sleek – hope you don’t mind me asking what theme you’re using?
(and don’t mind if I steal it? :P)

I just launched my site –also built in wordpress like yours– but the theme slows (!) the site down quite a bit.

In case you have a minute, you can find it by searching for “royal cbd” on Google (would appreciate any feedback) – it’s still in the works.

Keep up the good work– and hope you all take care of yourself during
    the coronavirus scare!
